There have been a couple of benefit gigs lately with live music and poetry, the most recent being at the Rutland Arms, Bakewell, with some money being made for site funds. If anyone knows anything about any forthcoming benefit gigs, please can they e-mail us at

Also there has been a lecture on the Nine Ladies at Bradford University - hope to bring more details about this soon.

On the subject of the forthcoming Birthday Bash, we are still engaging in dialogue with the police, i.e. trying to persuade them that everybody's going to behave themselves. There may or may not be a sound system, but there will certainly be live bands. Do expect there to be some police around when you come - don't bring anything you wouldn't want them to confiscate. Car parking looks set to be a problem; please car-share or use public transport.
