SITE UPDATE 02.01.2001

Dear friend

Hello to all new subscribers and those returning since The Crash.

Everyone on site enjoyed Christmas and sends their regards for the new year. We are keeping warm - just about - thank you all for the firewood, and keep it coming in!

The Meeting with the PDNPA at Aldern House is now due to take place on 2nd February 2001. If this goes in favour of Stancliffe Stone Ltd., the site could be evicted almost straight away. Therefore, it is important that everyone willing and able to help in the event of an eviction should be fully prepared to do so.

A minibus or van and driver would be particularly handy. If you can volunteer, please contact the camp site directly - their phone number can be found on the contacts page. Please don't e-mail us - we really can't get through to them any quicker than you can.

Finally we have been informed of the passing on 14 December of Dian Case, aged 55. Dian contributed some material to our Writing competition last year, and our judges were unanimous in their award of first prize for her poem "Stanton, My Derbyshire". Her daughter Carla Victoria has pledged to carry on where she left off, and will be visiting the Stones in the near future.
