Wednesday Match 1 vs Clive Offer's X1
Thursday Match 2 vs Surrey Cricket Board X1
Friday Match 3 vs Surrey Unicorns X1, followed by Colts 20/20 game
There will be various other things happening eg quiz night on the Wednesday . Please put this week in your diary now, and let's make it a real success.

Dinner Dance

Another gala evening for the club took place on November 13th when the Club held its annual dinner dance. It was a great success, thanks to the efforts of Chris and Trish Vagg and the social committee. Congratulations to all the prize winners, and while the list is too long to recount in full, special mention should go to two stalwart members.

Firstly Paul Benson, who was voted Club Man of the year, for all the terrific effort he puts into organising and captaining the various sides he's involved with. A minor problem like a heart attack only kept Paul out of action for 5 weeks during the summer and it was great to see him looking fit and well.

The dinner dance was also an opportunity for the Club to reward David Brazier for the amazing achievement of having played in senior teams at Woodmansterne for 50 years. Braz was presented with a specially commissioned portrait to mark the occasion. He was also guest of honour at the Fuller 's Surrey County League Dinner the night before.

Jon Lucas

Our very best wishes go to Jon Lucas as we wish him a speedy recovery from his illness and look forward to plenty more runs next year from the elegant opener.

Selby puts best foot forward

Club First team player and bowler of the year attributes his success to playing all season with a broken bone in his foot! Apparently an over-strenuous karate move chipped a piece of bone off the his heel, and he will have to have an operation shortly to remove it.

Vagg stars in FA Cup win

Mickey Joyce brought the attention of guests at the Dinner-Dance to the fact that Chris Vagg last month played in an FA cup match for Sutton United! In a strange twist of fate Sutton found themselves without either of their regular goalkeepers, and the call went out for last-minute replacement. Chris took up the challenge and to everyone's delight Sutton won the match 4-3
