Welcome to the Stags Boat Club Web Site
(Last updated 27-02-04)This year is the 75th anniversary of rowing at Southampton and to celebrate this we shall be holding a special dinner in London on 18th September. Please see the 2004 Newsletter for more details.
As you will see on the Newsletter, we are planning to introduce a voluntary subscription to the club; the funds raised will be used to help the current SUBC. A Standing Order Form is available for this.
To read both of these documents you
need Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded here. ![]()
And for those of you who still aren't aware, last September we held our annual dinner at Thames Rowing Club in Putney which was a hugely entertaining affair. For a full report, please click here ....
But as a little taster, see below a selection of photos from the night.

A Bit About Us:
The Stags Boat Club was founded in 1996 is a club for all former members of and coaches to Southampton University Boat Club.
If you are a former SUBC member and would like to join the Stags Boat Club, please supply us with the details requested on the membership page. Membership is currently FREE. We currently have about 240 former Southampton rowers as members but we would obviously welcome more !
Aims:
The Club's main aim is:
To encourage the further development of a network of former SUBC oarsmen and women through organising social events and supporting crews who wish to compete for the Stags Boat Club.
The Club's secondary aim is:
To support the incumbent SUBC committee in ensuring that the club's infrastructure continues to provide SUBC members with the opportunity to be able to compete successfully at top level rowing events in the UK. This is achieved through assisting SUBC with finding corporate sponsors each year, providing coaching support and contributing to the club's fund raising efforts.
The club currently has 220 members and is run by a committee drawn from former SUBC officers.
