h2g2.action
is an online high bandwidth documentary project. Inspired by 'Last Chance
to See' h2g2.action brings you the latest news, features and evidence about
three of the world's most endangered species.
h2g2
takes the enduringly popular fiction of the original Hitchhiker's Guide the
Galaxy and makes it real, creating a collaborative on-line Guide to Life,
the Universe and Everything.
From
1995 to 1998, I ran my own new media company called lush. I produced both
independent work as well as specific commissions.
A
point-and-click adventure game, it is stocked with beautifully observed characters.
Your mission is to blag your way from the Titanic's steerage to first class
by puzzle-solving and verbal interaction with the characters.
I
was Production Director at Zone (UK) Ltd. from 1993 to 1995 when I left
to set up lush, my own production company. Whilst at Zone my responsibilities
as Production Director ranged from producing the original software for The
Vid Zone consoles (a multimedia touch screen system enabling users to preview
music products) to interactive features on Nirvana, Massive Attack, i-D
Magazine, Coca Cola and MTV.
This
led on to contributions to 4 sections in UnZip (the UK's first CD-ROM magazine)
in collaboration with IPC Magazines, produced and published in 1995.
'Gaming
for grown ups' best describes the fundamental principle of Dreamer. Essentially
a platform game, Dreamer builds an interactive fictional world that combines
high action, absorbing game play with emotional drama.
