Find the answers to the riddles or the riddles to the answers by exchanging information orally with other teachers.

Grid exercise: follow or give directions and place X or fill in the appropriate box.

 

Scenario Example

The scene is one of varying concerns and desires. The players: teenage girl around 13 years old, concerned mother, concerned father, new friend. The boy, who the parents have heard has a bad reputation, is coming over to try to take the girl out to a very late night dance. The daughter needs to first ask the parents and prepare them for the arrival of the boy. Students can work on the roles in small groups and switch roles after discussing outcomes.

Language Practice

Use of modals: may, can, should, could, have to, must, ought to.

Brainstorm useful vocabulary and expressions of volition.

Use of the language of conflict resolution:
