Introducing the Oldland PlayersWe're a drama group based in Oldland Common, Bristol, who have been producing quality theatre for the past 30 years. Our members range from those who have just moved up from the youth group to those who, shall we say, are not in the first flush of youth, with a broad range in between. We have enthusiasm in abundance (except for the morning after last night parties, when it comes to striking a set). We are always on the hunt for new members both actors (Darling!) and the backstage crew who make it all possible. Just ask Adie who came to collect someone from rehearsal, mentioned he was a scaffolder, and a week later found himself rigging the set for Tom Jones. If you would like to join us you'd be most welcome. We produce two plays every year. The autumn production takes place at the Oldland Village Club, and for the past two years the spring production has been hosted in a barn at Manor Farm, Upton Cheyney. Why not take a look at some of our recent productions. The Oldland Players are also well known on the One Act Play Festival circuit. Over the years we have won a number of awards at these festivals, but our greatest success last year came with the youth group entry. |
