About Operation Sunshine

What is Operation Sunshine?
Operation Sunshine is a Folkestone based charity, supported by Churches in Folkestone, Dover, Ashford, Hythe, Saltwood, Lyminge, Hawkhurst, Devon, France and Andorra. Helped by individuals and groups, it sends much needed clothing, food, medical equipment, tools, sewing machines, blankets, soap, toiletries, and other necessities to Africa, and elsewhere for those in need.

What does Operation Sunshine do?
Goods received are sorted and packed at the MOD base at Shorncliffe Camp Folkestone, where they are stored, waiting loading and shipment. Similar work goes on in Tavistock. Other groups and individuals work at home, collecting, washing, mending, sewing, knitting, and repairing items. Many help with fund-raising, and prayer makes a vital contribution to the work.
