Update on the move(s) I must start by praising and thanking God for a very full, busy . . . and unusual year! At the beginning of 2007 we were still searching for a new venue, as we had to leave the MOD on 31 March. We agreed to rent space in the RD storage company, Foord Road, for six months. The move was not easy since there was a great deal to be sorted out and discarded. Our grateful thanks go to Ken Tee, John H.-P., and all those who put in so much effort, whether in viewing potential premises or in the physical work of the move.
At the end of February we were kindly given the use of the Foord Road chapel, which has been a great blessing for storage, meetings, working and packing. Very many thanks to Pastor Gareth Webber of the Harbour Community Church. We have been able to send two 20-foot containers from RD, out of seven sent since the last AGM. One went to Kathy Harding in Zambia and the other to Bishop Francis Loyo in the Sudan. Although the RD premises have not been ideal for our purposes we are very grateful to the staff, who have been both kind and tolerant.
We have continued to search for a more suitable venue, and have eventually found one at Abbots Land Farm, New Dover Road, Capel le Ferne. We're very grateful to David Dickinson for negotiating with the owner, David Parker, who has already shown himself to be really kind and accommodating towards us. It will be wonderful to have our own building with all amenities, and in a location that is very accessible for most of our helpers.
