In provision of the large …….

……. and the small things of life.

Greetings ! We are maintaining our position of meeting desperate needs amongst the destitute where we serve, amidst the worsening situation in the country of critical shortages of all basic products. These range from food, clothing, transport, fuel and groceries of all kinds. We have found various products in differing circumstances .......... just when needed most, as is always God's way in providing for his people. There are many small "miracles" that happen on a regular basis, which serve to increase our faith for His ability to provide in any situation.

The pictures show some of the activities .......... various Clothing Distributions amongst our groups have taken place, both in town and in the rural area where our Agricultural Training Village (Bethel) is situated. The people have been extremely happy with every item received, and realise that it is God's provision for them in these hard times.

Recently we built  two new toilets at Caledonia Destitute Resettlement Camp, at the place where we have our weekly church meeting. This is a condition we have to meet if we are to be allowed to hold services in the open places. The new truck has been marvellous for carrying various supplies and all manner of things needed in the work. It is amazing how much more we are now able to do with the extra space in the transport.

The pictures also show Sunday Services at Bethel Village Church, and Rujeko Church in the rural are where we operate at Bethel New Hope Village. I was there on Sunday, and found the Praise and Worship quite deafening, as everyone entered wholeheartedly into praising God. Three hours went by without us even noticing, as many had testimonies to give, songs to sing, and a good word to be preached. The church at the village is looking beautiful these days, with a new cement floor highly polished by the women, beautifully mudded and decorated walls, and lovely chairs from CART and OPERATION SUNSHINE .. our Christian partners in England. The afternoon service at Rujeko 30 kms away, is also very smart, using a previous farm Grading Shed. Everything is very nicely done for the service, including Bougainvilleas in tins for the pulpit decoration. The people treasure their churches, and Sundays are important occasions.

Many are committing their lives to Jesus in all our meetings. The hardship and suffering in the country is resulting in a search for God in everyone's lives. The cult groups flourish in such times, but we are also finding many coming from those groups to our meetings, and after hearing the Word preached, are burning their charms and religious garments.

It is essential for us to be in place and always to be found at the meeting places, bringing consistency in the continually changing and worsening times. Many individual families are now finding regular physical support from us as they are recommended by friends who see their desperate plight. However, it is the preaching of the Gospel which has the most powerful effect on them, and they are able to live in the knowledge and hope that God is able to see them through. A pair of shoes, some items of clothing, a packet of sugar, a bottle of cooking oil ............ each has the effect of bringing hope and comfort.

Thank you for continued support and all the blessing it makes possible .......... Bryony and Team.
