Countries that receive help:

On a regular basis:
Zimbabwe (Harare), Zambia (Lusaka and Ndola),  Rwanda (Cyangugu and Kibungo), Tanzania (Kasulu and Ruaha), Uganda (Kasese and Sudan (Yei and Rokon).

One-offs:
Africa: Uganda, Kenya, Angola, Malawi.
Other: Kurds (in Turkey), Romania, Armenia, Kosovo.

What O.S. supports in Africa.
Refugees; New Hope villages (Zimbabwe); Rwanda building project (schools etc.); equipping hospitals and clinics; leprosy missions; orphanages; street people; Christian work; and others.

Items sent

  • Clothes (sorted into men's, women's, boys', girls' and babies'); shoes, bags, bedding, towels.
  • Toiletries (mainly soap); Medical, disabled and hospital equipment.
  • Sewing machines, knitting equipment, furniture, computers, typewriters, generators, bicycles.
  • Building materials and equipment, tools (for cooking, carpentry, agriculture); seeds.
  • School equipment, toys.
  • Non- perishable food (e.g. rice, dried milk, tinned meat & fruit, baked beans) - much is donated by schools and churches from Harvest festival gifts.
  • Water containers.
  • Whatever recipients need and request we do our best to supply.
  • Glasses, especially sunglasses.
