Like the rest of Blackpool, the North area is packed with loads of things to do right through the year.

Frequent and famous Blackpool trams run frequent along the promenade connecting all areas of Blackpool with other seaside resorts such as Cleveleys and Fleetwood.

Blackpool was a favourite resort of the Victorians, they built three famous piers, one in each area of the town. Blackpool North Pier is the oldest of the three, it is also the longest at a total length of 1410 feet. Construction on the pier commenced in 1862 and was opened to the public on 23 May 1863. The cost of admission back then was one old penny (approx 0.5 pence) but today admission is free. North Pier now houses an amusement arcade, shops, restaurants, bars and the North Pier Theatre.
