The Eastman Electro-Cycle was first built in 1899 in the USA. It had a one passenger body which is believed to be the first
all-steel body in the United States.
This body was attached to a tubular frame and had two large bicycle wheels to the rear and one at the front which was controlled by a very long tiller. The company ceased making the Electro-Cycle in 1902 but continued to make steel bodies for other manufacturers.
