Running Campaigns etc.
When running campaigns and tournaments there are four things which we have found that are useful to keep in mind.
1: Keep tham fairly short, otherwise people will lose interest and stop playing. Anything up to a month is usually OK, anything longer will not get finished.
2: Set out the rules clearly at the beginning so that there can be no arguments over them later on. However, bear in mind the armies people have available when making these up. See our tournament rules for an example.
3: Employ an impartial ajudicator to check army lists, keep tabs on who has won, and generally to solve disputes. However, make sure they are knowledgable enough to make informed decisions.
4: Make sure there is a schedule for games. Don't just let people play when they feel like it. For example, in our 40K league, Dave won by a massive margin, but had played twice as many games as second placed Vinnie. (Not that I would like to detract from his achievement - Webmaster)
